coog version 22.14 released

A new version of coog in line with our 2022/2023 objectives for Group Health & Welfare!

coog 22.14 offers numerous improvements to group contract set-up, as well as the core functionality required to manage group memberships and contributions.

Not forgetting, for example, product configuration with a new validation process, or online payment from coog’s policyholder area (B2C).

coog Back-Office

Product configuration

A validation process for product parameters (products, coverages, benefits) has been set up to check the product before it is offered for underwriting, pricing and claims handling. Checks are automatically applied when parameters are validated.

This process also makes it possible to distribute authorizations: for example, a user configures the product, then an authorized manager validates the configuration so that it is available for underwriting.

The new ‘Automatically display on record’ button enables additional product (or warranty) type data to be displayed as soon as a new product (or warranty) is created in the ‘Product type’ section of the screen.

Contracts

Group contracts

The field below has been added to the underwriting process for a closed group contract to specify the date on which new employees can no longer be affiliated.

However, after this date, the contract remains active with contributions and claims management until existing affiliations are terminated.

When creating a ‘Parent company’/’Subsidiary company’ type link between two legal entities, if the SIREN of the two legal entities is identical, the ‘Description’ field will specify that it is a secondary establishment.

On the screen displaying a third party’s relationships, you can use the ‘Secondary establishment’ criterion to refine your search.

Contribution call slips are used to materialize the rates and bases used by a group contract to calculate contributions for a population over a given period.

These slips are used to generate a document that is sent to companies to enable them to declare the calculation elements and pay their contributions.

Endorsements

Several improvements have been made to the change of address endorsement.

Changes to the Internal Classification Number (ICN) can now be registered by means of a change-of-address rider.

When entering a change of address endorsement, it is now possible to select the address to be closed and replaced.

A warning message appears when the amendment is validated, informing the administrator in charge of the modification.

La saisie de l’avenant de changement d’adresse est adaptée aux besoins du gestionnaire. En effet, il est désormais possible d’appliquer les modifications aux bénéficiaires du contrat actif.

The interface for the endorsement to change a third party’s means of contact has been enhanced to offer the actions ‘Add a new contact’, ‘Modify’ or ‘Deactivate’ a means of contact.

Third party

NAF (Nomenclature d’Activité Française) and IDCC (Identifiant De la Convention Collective) codes are now available in coog.

Two new fields, NAF and IDCC, can now be entered in the ‘Legal entities’ menu.

A new shortcut has been created to launch a group contract subscription process from a legal entity.

Claims

Filters added to the selection view of the benefit provided in the claims wizard to make it easier to choose the benefit provided.

Modification of terminated contracts to be able to enter a claims liability end date to stop payment of benefits in the event of the new insurer taking over the liabilities.

Billing

Dunning
  • Event management for each level of dunning to trace the entry and exit of a contract’s dunning cycle.
  • Possibility of calculating contributions at the time of invoicing.
Accounting
  • Added a wizard for renewing journal periods.
  • Contract’ keyword added to accounting transaction templates.
Payment
  • Asynchronous switching of the document production request when an outstanding payment is received.

Documents

Desktop publishing

During the contract subscription process, if a document is signed manually while the electronic signature is set, it is now possible to save it as ‘Completed’ thanks to the new ‘Bypass electronic process’ button.

Generate a periodic printout regardless of the renewal date: this triggers due notices for Loan Insurance (or any multi-year contract).

Technical

Implementation of a plugin for the fat-client that allows analysis of the loading time of certain screens in addition to the application performance analysis already available from the Web application. This plugin requires the ‘bench’ module to be activated.

It is then available from the ‘Actions’ button, followed by ‘Benchmark’. The Benchmark results appear.

  • Wizard to count people covered retroactively in the application, year by year and month by month.
  • Administrators can now impose a processing date different from the execution date when scheduling batch processing.
  • Action filter settings by event type have been simplified. For example, payment information is now directly available as a criterion for triggering an action.

Back-Office technical administrators can now consult application server and batch process statistics directly in the application, in real time.

Users of the Sales Support Tool (SST) now have the option of duplicating an existing quotation in order to create a new one based on the information already entered.

This duplication can be carried out on the basis of the original quotation product, or on another product.

  • In the first case, it’s a complete copy of the original quote.
  • In the second case, it is a partial copy of the original quotation. Pricing information and product-specific data are not duplicated.

The aim of this new feature is to streamline the sales process (cross selling), by not requesting the same information several times, and thus avoid data entry errors.

Policyholder area (B2C) coog

Online payment

From their personal areas, customers can access the balance(s) of their contract(s) and make their adjustment payment(s)* in just a few clicks.

*Via the secure payment service of our partner Paybox by Verifone.

Theme customization

You can easily customize the theme of your insured personal space, and define a theme for each distribution channel.

Modifiable theme elements include: colors (primary and secondary), logo and login page image.

coog API

  • A new API presents the types of third-party relationships configured in the Back-Office.
  • A new API enables third-party documents to be consulted.
  • The creation of an API for updating quotations enables self-care for policyholders and their current contracts.
  • A new API to create and process adjustment payments (via Paybox or Monetico).
  • Creation of a new API for duplicating a Sales Route.
GraphQL API

With a view to facilitating the integration of the coog Back-Office with digital tools such as the coog B2C insurance space and the coog-Portal B2B distributor portal, we are continuing to enhance our APIs based on the GraphQL query language.

Applications that use these APIs to consult information from the Coog Back-Office can specify their needs in detail in each context.

The people in charge of developing these applications can rely on constantly updated documentation with autocompletion and precise details (field name, type, format) on all available information, at each “node” of the information cluster to be consulted.

  • Due date information is now available at contract level: balance summary and details of past and future due dates.
  • Endorsements and their detailed information can now be consulted.
  • Enhanced third-party consultation: addresses, bank accounts, relationships and much more.
